Community-Based Youth Braid Clinics
Community-Based Youth Braid Clinics give eligible Youth Braiders supervised opportunities to apply the skills they have learned while serving youth in their community. Youth Braiders practice technical skills alongside customer service, communication, professionalism, sanitation, teamwork, time management, and responsibility under experienced adult instructor supervision.
At launch, clinic services will focus on select approved braid styles. Available services, pricing, locations, appointment times, and eligibility will be listed for each clinic date.

From Skills to Real-World Experience
The Youth Braid Clinic is more than a braid appointment. It is a supervised youth workforce-development experience where young people practice technical skills and the transferable skills needed in school, work, entrepreneurship, and everyday life.
Beauty Skills Meet Real Opportunity
Youth Braid Clinics turn skill-building into supervised practice. At launch, clinic services will focus on knotless box braids and soft locs. Youth braiders work alongside experienced instructors who provide guidance, quality oversight, and support throughout the experience.
Each clinic creates space for young people to learn, practice, build confidence, strengthen employability skills, and serve their community.
Youth who have completed an eligible It's Bigger Than Braids braiding program may apply for supervised, hands-on experience. Participation is based on skill readiness, program requirements, clinic capacity, and instructor approval.
Apply as a Student ↓Community youth ages 10 through 17 may schedule select braid services during an available clinic. Services are provided by youth braiders under instructor supervision.

Youth Braid Clinics are an initiative of It's Bigger Than Braids, developed and delivered in partnership with Youth Braid and Business Academy.
It's Bigger Than Braids leads the nonprofit initiative, community partnerships, youth access, program development, and expansion of the Youth Braid Clinic model. Youth Braid and Business Academy serves as the education and implementation partner, providing experienced beauty educators, instructional support, curriculum expertise, and hands-on program delivery.
