It's Bigger Than Braids provides a safe space for girls and young women to dream big, believe in themselves, and have the confidence to live a life of purpose.
We partner with schools, libraries, community organizations, and experts in a range of professional fields to facilitate hands-on programs focused on identity, self-care, beauty education, entrepreneurship, and positive youth development.
How we work.
Our programs bring practical learning and personal growth together. Young people explore beauty and self-care skills, creativity, leadership, and entrepreneurship in supportive community settings.
It's Bigger Than Braids does not maintain a dedicated public-facing physical office. Programs are delivered at partner schools, libraries, community centers, and other host locations.
Leadership: Rossie Dean serves as Executive Director of It's Bigger Than Braids.
